Stuck in a rut where I don't know where I'm going
Everything remains quite the same, a slight decaying
She's the one that breaks the cyclical chains I've been pulling.
It's a single breath of fate that grows a spark into a flame.
I am well prepared. I've considered all the ways this could end.
First, we stay the course. Resign ourselves to waste. Trade our hearts for face.
Or we run away completely unexplained and leave 'em all behind.
Or we face the fire. Those two, the masses and their ire and call it brave.
Can you hear my voice? Self-preservation's not a choice.
Can't give up my life. Either your heart or my heart gets the knife.
You are over there obviously aware how bad it can get.
Look, I'm sorry things have changed in ways that I can't explain. I also thought we'd make it.
Awkwardly I repeat, "It's not you it's me. In time you'll see.
I'll move out today. You can keep the place. It's the least I can do."
